I don't know if anyone else watched CNN last night, but here in the U.S., late last night it switched from CNN to CNN International to continue the live coverage. I don't watch CNN International that often and last night reminded me why. The anchors were like drones... it seemed like a cheap copy of BBC news. I am surprised how different the style is between U.S. CNN and CNN International. It was great for keeping up with the live coverage, but the anchors were also great for putting you to sleep :o) Strangely, it went from one female anchor to another until they had gone through 3 -- each one more robot-like than the previous. Is there a rule for English speaking international news that the anchors must all speak in a monotone? That doesn't happen on Univision, RT, or Al Jazeera...
