How so? There was some hoopla when Tim Geithner seemed to float the idea of the dollar no longer being the world currency. (Which was quickly "clarified" by the White House). I sure don't agree that it's dead. There is a huge difference between being the be-all and end-all currency and being dead.

What currency is supposed to replace it? Don't say the euro, which has huge problems of its own. Don't say the yuan (or the eggroll or whatever the Chinese currency is). Not only are they still officially Communist, China is a third world nation once you get outside the cities. For better or worse it's the dollar for the time being.
