I was wondering the best method for backing up .dbf, .fpt and .cdx files after the files have been updated. Should I make them .bak files or what? Should I put them in a backup directory and name the directory "\backup" or what? Any ideas would be appreciated.

I know I could copy the files or Append From, but I would like to know the standard way that VFP developers do it. I try to conform to standards whenever possible.
