Hi All,

The following error

Method not found: 'Int32 Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.Sdk.Sfc.ISfcDomain.GetLogicalVersion()'. (ObjectExplorer)

appears when
- opening SQL Server Management Studio and connecting to a database engine
- expanding a node in SSMS Object Explorer

SQL Server 2008 Enterprise trial has been installed on a computer previously running SQL Server 2008 R2 Express. Even though I have uninstall the Express version before installing the Enterprise one, the error exists. Installing SP1 and SP2 did not resolve the issue either.

My understanding, it may be a result of 2008 and 2008R2 version collision.

MS suggests (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982360):
To work around these issues, install SQL Server 2008 R2 Management Studio.

I cannot find a separate download SQL Server 2008 R2 Management Studio. Installing an Express Studio version is not an option, since it has no access to the Analysis Services database.

Your help is highly appreciated!
