>>I wouldn't get too excited about NoSQL. It is not an interesting topic.
Fox Network is using it. ;-) Along with Intuit (yes, the Quickbooks people again!) as well as Google, eBay, Amazon, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo, Rackspace, LexisNexis, New York Times, Chicago Tribune, Hulu, etc etc...
One interesting feature of NoSQL is scalability. FWIW, Google replaced 40,000 MySQL boxes with a NoSQL implementation. This stuff is advancing rapidly: In recent months there's lots of activity in NoSQL BI that I thought might interest you.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
