Hmmm. I just did a quick select and CURSORSETPROP on the cursor, and I could set it to 1,2,3,4, and 5...

I didn't try CURSORSETPROP(), so I don't know will you get error or something else. Again, there is no reason (IMO) to set or try to set pessimistic buffering on view.
