Hello,

Thank you for your reply to my question. I used the ActiveX and the Automation Server approach, and I've read several other threads about Crystal reports.
I made a small application. It worked fine ! It took 2 fields out of a table of 28.000 records and displayed them. The speed of the application was horrible : it took 20-25 seconds to open the Crystal report and another 10 seconds to only read the first 100 records.

How can I make the process faster????

Mr Berntson suggested to create a FXP2.x table of my data (almost all my tables) but by doing that don't I make the tables unreadible to VFX6.0 ?? How can I easilly convert my tables to another format(FXP2.x)?

Is making another databaseformat no option ?? To convert my database to say Acces format and make Crystal report read and use it a lot faster.

I compared the creating of a report with Crystal reports and from the VFP6.0 Report Designer. Visual FoxPro is a lot faster !!!
Isn't there someone who has written a native driver for Crystal Reports to make the databases/tables as fast accessable as with FoxPro 2.x?
Greetings,

Remco Terpstra
