That depends on your arrangement with the HOA.
I have authorized the HOA to make direct debits. There is no paper involved in a direct debit. They debit my account and credit theirs.
Double entry bookeeping being what it is, if I see the debit, I know that they got the credit.
That's how Direct Deposit Payroll works.
It's more efficient and that will eventually become the standard payment method,.
