Were this a random comment, it would be one thing. But there has been a history of comments from Mr. Beane regarding the Tea Party and African Americans, the Republican party and African Americans, and now this. As Mulder used to say, "do you see a pattern emerging here, Scully?"

And even beyond the continued race card with a twist that Mike regularly plays, is the concept of "why is this guy up there".....I applaud Cain for having the guts to get up there and speak his mind. Of course he realizes his odds are low...doesn't mean he can't offer some much needed guidance.

For the record....I don't think Mike is a racist....but between his prior comments and his ridiculous claim that Mike Cole was racist, I'm reminded of John Koziol's quote about Mike being "one dumb S.O.B." (though he said it nearly as a term of endearment).

I actually don't like disagreeing with you, but it won't stop me from saying that you're really taking the concept of "devil's advocate" too far, by taking an incredibly ignorant comment and trying to give credibility to it. We both know you're brighter than that. Sometimes piling on is necessary.
