If I'm not mistaken, you've been paid by Servoy.
Is that correct??

If that train had hired me, I might like that train too.
As the pols like to say.."Where you stand often depends on where you sit."
That's not to impugn your integrity, but it does put the ride on the train in a different light.

As far as waiting 4 months is concerned - when you get to my age and have survived major illnesses, major economics swings, and long periods where nasty people were trying to kill you every day, waiting for MS to say something for 4 months doesn't really look like a big deal.

- in fact people who fret over it look a bit silly.

Just think, it's one day closer than it was yesterday!!!!

Bob Davies, the founder of SBT Software, used to lament to me the notion of the "technological treadmill" whereby the latest and greatest fad, whatever it was, by implication, made what we did yesterday obsolete. He moved slowly but wisely and did a pretty good job of steering his company thru the morass before selling it and sailing off to the Caribbean with a nice bundle.

To me all this blah blah over what's the next move by MS reinforces Bob's idea that moving wisely is much more important than reacting to today's news or lack of news.

>>I've talked to many companies and developers who have successfully moved from VFP to Servoy (or added Servoy to existing VFP apps), and I have yet to talk one that regarded adopting Servoy. And they all enjoy working with Servoy, the Servoy team, the Servoy community, and have that same passion for the product as VFP developers had (and have) for FoxPro. I'm not saying I jumped off the Microsoft train expecting to watch it crash into a mountain, but I am saying I'm glad I'm no longer on that train. :)
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
