>Number of apps mean nothing to me. How many are duplicates? How many are really just junk? Like I said, I have only looked for one app on WP7 that I couldn't find. OK, actually, it does exist but doesn't have the features I want, so I'm writing it... and it doesn't exist on any platform. Everything else I've wanted, I've been able to find.

>Number of apps does not mean one platform is better than the other. Many people will tell you that the Mac is better than a Windows PC, but using your logic that couldn't possibly be the case because there are more applications for Windows than Mac.

Well it sure means one platform is more usable than the other though right? And yes I think a Windows PC is better than a Mac for that very reason - more apps. Now sure there are certain things that Mac does better - used to be desktop publishing and now it's probably creating multi-media videos and such - but hey for day-to-day real-life use, you expect to see an office full of mac's or pc's?

hmmm. Well the number of apps is a HUGE thing for me because I want to use/play the heck out of the thing. The lack of google maps and latitude is a big thing for me as far as WP7. Plus the front-facing camera video chat is something I like to use. Multi-tasking is very important to me. Being able to do backups and restores is nice. Thus far anything you can do in WP7 I can either do or mimic in Android - including the Metro UI - but that's not true the other way around - so why would I want to limit myself with WP7? I like being able to load custom ROMS which is something that you can't really do with WP7 either.

This is kind of interesting..

I know I sound negative so let me say it again - I want WP to win over Android - I just don't see it anytime soon.

>Instead of making blanket statements like "more features in Android OS" or "Adnroid is more customizable", give me some specifics.

>>So let me get this straight - you think WP7 is better than Android? I suppose if you don't want to use any software on it it could be a close tie (or back it up apparently). I think you're searching for reasons that WP7 is better and not really doing a side-by-side comparison.
>>Much more features included in the Android OS
>>The Android OS is more customizable
>>More apps available in the Android OS
>>Look - zillions of apps for Android - just a few for WP7. taadaa! case closed. Sort of the reason I use Windows for my desktop instead of Unix.
