>>>Exactly what I was thinking. The 'experts' seem to think AT&T will loose on this - lets hope so.

>>I, too, hope this kills the deal. I have T-Mobile and have no desire ever to do business with AT&T. (Long, old story, but the gist is that I called them to tell them about someone perpetrating $10K of fraud on them, and they had no interest.)

Yep. I was quite surprised.

>It's been a good baseball week so far for you, a lousy one from me. Phillies sweep four from the Reds, Brewers swept in a three game home series vs. the Cardinals. The Crew still look safe but this was their chance to put the Cardinals away and they didn't do it.

Nonetheless, the Brewers' magic number is less than the Phils', since we have the Braves in our division. It'll be interesting to see whether the Phils can keep this up. Thanks to a rainy week in mid-August and Hurricane Irene, they have 33 games in 31 days to finish the season, starting this past Monday. Two day-night doubleheaders 6 days apart. But as usual, Howard's getting hot for September.
