The other data point to consider is resolution: the Lenovo Ideapad A1 ($199) is 7" -- but is the same resolution as most 10" tablets, 1024x600 (as is the nook color -- the IPad2 is 1024 x 768). Combined with the easier handling, and it can be a "just right" combination, depending on your tolerance/preference for screen size. E.g., my 15.4" Dell Inspiron is 1680x1050 (bought it nearly 5 years ago). This is ideal for me, but too small for some folk: de gustibus and all that.
