This application is in VFP 5.0a. I, too, have programmed with dBase and Clipper since thier early days and am familiar with the instability of memo files. I hold my breath, and am surprised, that re-indexing fixes this.

Of the 3rd party products for checking files Fox Fix, etc. which do you recommend. I have an earlier version of FoxFix before it looked at the FPT files. I think that their current version does look at the fpt files.
