May I suggest that this is a new thread. Perhaps you should start a new one on this subject or these subjects? That way people you might be able to offer suggestions won't skip the msg thinking that it's about something else. Your questions *seem* to be:

1. When should the programmer clean up open forms vs. when is it under the user's control

2. You are having trouble getting a form activated

Is that correct?

>I think I goofed in posing the quest. The form name defaults to 'form1' as opposed to the caption name. But anyway, a form I have calls another form and so on. Is it good to keep them all open? or should I close them as another gets the focus? When I get to the 4th form, it doesn't seem activated for some reason. :(
