OK, how many note taking apps do you need? How many calorie counters? How many flashlights? Same concept.

No, I would not buy a brick from Microsoft unless it applied it's own mortar and layed itself. And then, only if I needed a brick that did that. And if the price was right. iTunes is not an excuse. I have no need for an application that's as bad as iTunes when there are others that do a great job and do it better. (but then, better is an opinion)
