>Ah, don't be so sure! My mom was the one in our family with the artist flair. She does beautiful stained glass work, in addition to other crafty things throughout the years. Just 4 years ago I decided to try my hand at watercolors. Alas, I could not paint anything that looked like anything. Then I just went totally off the rails and probably broke all the rules...www.mkwatercolors.com. Mom asked me to participate with her in a local exhibition. A quilter who was there suggested my designs would make great fabric. That sent me researching. I had trouble finding companies that actually produce their own fabric. If I did, they were more than happy to attempt to produce my stuff, at my expense up front, of course. That idea sat for a while until a little light bulb went on and I thought "neck ties"! I did a quick search and found a company (www.beautiesltd.com). The fabric manager was on vacation, but within a few days I heard back from one of the owners who said they loved my stuff! I entered into a licensing agreement with them on 9 of my designs over a 3 year period. The first 3 all became bestsellers. The 4th just came out a couple of days ago...http://www.beautiesltd.com/product/tidings-bow-tie/martha-kroll-bow-tie.

>Long story short (if that's possible at this point! lol)...you just never know what can happen. Just gotta throw your line in the water.

Those are very attractive ties. Kudos to the designer. A bit rich for my taste, but very nice ;-) I am not a formal guy at all and am happy that the dressy style that ruled when I entered business has passed for the most part. One side of my closet is filled with expensive suits and ties from the old days. Back then I very much had my eye on the prize and dressed the part. I bought all my business attire at Bigsby & Kruthers, Chicago's go-to power suit place. Phil Jackson bought his suits there, if that tells you anything. Now they just hang around in my closet apart from weddings, funerals, and job interviews. I do have an excellent collection of rock and roll T shirts ;-)

Good for you for being willing to go off the rails and break all the rules. I would be hard pressed to name a difference maker who didn't have that trait. Best of luck with that mobile app. (I told you this probably isn't the best place to ask).
