I have a client-server application which uses a local database on the local server in the office through LAN. The application also needs to update records to a web based SQL Server database.

I am using 2 separate connections to connect to both databases. The problem is at times the internet connection breaks and either the web database is not updated without the error getting reported (the local database gets updated) or if there is an error the application simply crashes without updating the local database too.

How can I manage transactions between both the servers so that either both databases are updated or none is updated.

Thanks in Advance.

Alhad
