Calvin,

You should try a COMPILE CLASSLIB command on the classlib. Some people have reported problems with classes that had custom methods and properties named the same as what is now included by default in the VFP baseclass.

>I had a vcx file which I had named controls. It was originally created in VFP 3.0. In VFP 6.0 (Dont know about VFP 5.0 since I never used it) I was not able to use newobject or addobject for any classes in this vcx. I moved all the classes to another vcx and addobject/newobject now work fine ( a dangerous practice renaming all the classloc fields for all my forms ). My questions is, was I using a restricted name or what to prevent newobject/addobject from working with this class? It worked fine in all other respects. This did cause me a good deal of trouble trying to figure out why these commands did not work and did not even generate an error.
