If my hunch is correct, you should find them in the middle, followed by two bytes representing "PK" string (which is the signature, i.e. first two bytes of a zip).

As I mentioned in my previous message, the problem seems to be with the FTP client. When I downloaded this file using CutFtp the size was preserved correctly. Maybe someone who knows more of how the FTP clients work will shed some light.
