If you google "windows 7 program files access denied" you will find info on how to get around it. I realize you have worked around the problem but if you're going to be using Windows 7 this is an important concept to understand.

Yes, I believe that was the message, in red, access denied. My user account is Administrator though.
The source is a project and located elsewhere in its own directory structure.

I'm under the impression VFP5 is not compatible with Windows 7. I'm not sure what is going on.
Why I could use the software (outside the project source). Then not be able to build a form
modification into an .exe. Then be able to reinstall outside of the Program Files directory and now
seemingly be able to build.

Is it unsafe to use VFP5 in Windows 7 64 bit? What problems should I be seeing if it's incompatible as I've been reading?

I also read that VFP9 is the end. Fox technology is obsolete and is no longer being developed by Microsoft.

Thx.
