Hi Gary,

Just jumping in here since I work with Sybase some (v15)

As you probably know, Sybase SQL Anywhere 5.0 is ancient.

If someone is sending you current data, I'd ask them to supply the data as XML or in some other format that you can deal with without having to have a version of Sybase installed locally.

When you say that someone is sending you a "database", what does that mean exactly?
