Well, Mono's implementation of ASP.NET just got a big boost with the open sourcing of MVC 4, Razor, Webforms, etc. Xamarin, the mono guys, are the wildcard here. Microsoft has for years gone out of their way to make things easier for them to be compatible. So if you won't mind programming within the restrictions of .Net, you can still go LAMP.

>>>It wasn't a big deal, so I redid the site with Dreamweaverr/HTML/CSS/javascript and now it flies on the Godaddy Linux server.

I was particularly interested in its data-driven backbone which makes it very easy for $29 templates to resize and reposition layout depending on device and screen size. Also seems to me that with local data caching getting closer, more and more functionality will focus at the Browser- meaning Javascript today and whatever Apple and Google decide tomorrow. Or I suppose it is possible that ASP.NET will take over.
