>Good question, and it took me a while to find that this programs caused it. One day my computer started crawling, very unresponsive, even reboot time was abysmal, 20 minutes or more. Looking into the processes, it was always SVHost that was taking 100% CPU (or sometimes just 50%, I guess just one core), and by watching the programs been hosted they were the aforementioned ones, in particular it was the Firewall Service, which I disabled it since the moment I installed the OS, as I not only have a hardware firewall but also have a security suite (Antivirus/Firewall/Antispam/Parental Control etc) but it is not enough to disable it thru the interface, even if you have everything off, the service still runs!!! My guess is that this programs collide with my security suite, but in any case my point is that if I turn off a service (disabled) then a new patch by Microsoft should leave the stupid service disabled.

Watch out - I'd give high odds that the security suite is the resource hog.

I'm suprised that a patch would reenable the firewall or Defender though. That would be annoying if you had purposfully disabled them.
