Whoa, haven't heard that whisper. It's true the Sinofsky (server group) won the battle, and that the server group has adamantly rejected .Net. And it's true (consequently) that .Net never fulfilled its potential for a full language integration, not interop'ed, with the OS.

With MS open sourcing key parts of asp.net, though... I suppose they could open source .Net and let Miguel take it from here.
