Security has a cost associated with it, there are only two truly secure methods of file transfer over the internet (IMHO !), use a secure socket layer @ 128 bit, or encrypt your file with PGP ( or some other 128 bit public/private key system such as RSA) and use ftp or http to transfer the file. Of course I am extremly paranoid...

There are other levels of security, but none as secure as the two listed above.
