Bush was not stellar. How to measure competence ? On my scale Obama is not worse.
Health care in the current version may be stopped, Iraq was not.
Or is it competence, if you push through the personal target, even if it is bad for the country ?

Again: Bush created a total mess in economy and debt.
While Clinton and some earlier Dem Prez' had the good fortune of inheriting a growing economy,
spending sprees as defined by new debt in % of GNP by Rep are known ;-)).
Even with Reagan, for me the prez most underrated.

>4. Create class warfare by encouraging laziness and reliance on government vs hard work and success

expensive do-gooding is typical for nearly all politicians and
even more the gov bureaucrats growing themselves better feeding grounds.

>5. Internationally, embracing our enemies and turning away friends

Necessary if you want to change the status quo - who visited China first ;-) ?
Or do you have a specific situation in mind - if so pls. some specs.
