display status shows that each table is opened to a select area when i run the executible:

1 - correspondence
2 - assignments
3 - status
4 - rptlist

so it must be trying to use 1 initially. if i set it to use 2 (assignments) in the command window, you can see the status bar change to 'Admin!Assignments' but as soon as i click one of the command buttons (like 'NEXT' for next record) it changes the select area. when i click on page2 of the form it works as it should.
