>Yeah, after 2 Federal investigations (that turned up nothing) and the French all up in his business for over 10 years and a Federal judge questioning the motives of the USADA - I guess he finally had enough.

There are cheaters and there are cheaters. If everyone was doping during the same seven Tours as Lance Armstrong this just tells me that there was still no one stronger or better at winning the Tours than Armstrong. Makes you think. He was sick of all this business about dragging everything through a trial so he quit but it doesn't mean he admitted to any doping. Lance Armstrong is not a dumb man so we'll wait and see what happens next.

I dislike cheaters very much, especially those who tell lies about jobs they have had in order to get the next job. People have no conscience when it comes to themselves but will join a lynch mob to hang someone else, innocent or guilty. The world is getting more weird every day.

And the Tour de France doesn't *have* to be run, it can end at any time. Who really cares? The same with most sports. It's all for the money which has removed a lot of enjoyment for people. And to call sports figures *heroes*. A hero is a person who gives of himself/herself to help another person.
