I'll do as you suggest and load the ocx from vfp 5.0 and register it again. I guess I should speed up my migration to 6.0...I hate this transition stuff!

What kind of problem are you having? I tested it on a NEW form using the control from 6. I don't have any current forms in 5 with a RTF on them. Maybe you could just remove & re-add the control and rebuild?
