>>>Hi,
>>>
>>>I have an Outlook type file where I save some messages from my current Outlook main pst file. This file reached its limit (when I try to move a message from the main Outlook to this file I get the message). So I need to "archive" some of the records (e.g. all emails prior to, say 2005). When I right-mouse click on this file and select Data File Properties I don't see an option to Archive or copy some emails. Where do I find this option? TIA.
>>
>>It looks like only a folder within a PST file can be reduced/archived. This is PITA; I was hoping to cut down the entire PST file at once.

Rereading your question, you can archive from one PST to another by opening the PST in Outlook and picking the Archive menu option in the File Menu. You will have the option to choose the mailbox or file (a PST that is open) to set archiving properties on.
