FlexGrid is a great control for a free one, we used it for a while before we switched to Telerik. You need to read, think, and try the sample as is, without any of your other assumptions and go step by step -- just like the rest of us do without expecting the users here to solve all of our problems....

Again, without understanding how the grid works fundmentally, then understanding how MVC works, you will not be able to just jump into a sample, start changing things the way you think they should work, and expect it to work. You have to go back to the sample app, get it working, then make small changes until it stops working and figure out what you did wrong.

That's the way a professional would approach it....
