The sample app (the one I downloaded) is working for me fine. My own (modeled from that app) also works fine. My minor changes (introducing a confirmation message to delete or fixing the flexgrid so it doesn't allow to put letters into pager control) also works fine.

But may be you're right and I better first try to change that sample app the way I want my app to behave then apply the same idea to my app.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
