I guees iut's just weid that it can't handle a post-back where the From/To contains and integer value, and you just would just resolve it into the corresponding person on the back end.

Plus, why the two-year limit at all? Is it an effort to limit the bandwidth of send back too many results?

How about an area where we could click on "My Posts" and "My Replies", and when you go there, if would just show you a list of your most recent Posts and Replies. This is a very common paradigm used on mother message boards.
