It is actually was worse than that. Usually I don't check the updates, when it tells me it wants to install new ones, I let it install. So, it now installed this stupid Bing desktop and I will have to fingure out how to uninstall it. But moreover, that second update failed with an error and still wanted a new re-start. I re-started and then it simply was sitting on the 'Don't turn your computer' screen. I waited about 15 minutes, from my husband laptop (and under his account) posted a message in Windows forums, finally decided to re-start. So, after re-start it again went to the same screen and I was really scared that it will end up with the same problem, but eventually it did come up.
So, at this point I am not sure what is the state of my computer and I have this desktop to deal with...
Windows Update shows that all updates were successful except for SQL Server 2008 SP3, but I don't use SQL Server 2008, I have SQL Server 2008 R2.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
