It sucks. It's an annoyance that you have to go past to get to work. It was forced on consumers like they were Apple lemmings (Apple says it is good, and so it shall be!).
You've admitted you generally immediately pass Metro and head for the desktop.
Then you don't have a start menu.
Having to work to get back what you lost from the old OS w/o any practical reason as to WHY you lost it sucks.
I know - you drink the Kool-Aid and spout the MS rhetoric about it, but you are very, very lonely in your opinion.
