This is true. And the idea of forcing Metro on developers with VS2012 is also proving to be amazingly unpopular.

Win8 would've been a fantastic UI option, especially for touch and mobile apps. But it was a bad idea to force it as the only UI model as even the "compatibility" support is insufficient.

Win8 has proven very disappointing after Win7's strong recovery from Vista. And VS2012 is all but unusable without add-ons and extensive UI fixups.
