In Internet Explorer, the browser will show the recognized file type when downloading a file. In Firefox, this is not standard. This doesn't work all the time. Sometimes, a Word XML (2003+) will be recognized. Sometimes, the same file will be known as Word 97-2003. And, this is vice versa for Word regular file. In Chrome, when downloading a file, there is no recognition so we can see visually what we are downloading as far as the type goes.
