>Didn't we discuss something like this a while back? ISTR FireFox for one is just looking at the file extension and leveraging Windows registered file types, so .doc should show as Word 97-2003, .docx as Word 2007+ etc.

Ok, thanks, but on different browsers, the same two files are being known as reversed from Firefox.
