Hi people
I see a few VFP related threads here, and there is a bit of bickering too about it's present status. Essentially we all love VFP so we are around. It has paid us well and still is (read o' naysayers) paying many of us.
When discussing, one thing I notice is that people have failed to clarify that VFP is a two in one product. As a programming front-end and as a database back-end. As a back-end it is still good for small shops the back-end is unshakeable in it's value for money. As a front-end it is still a very powerful product and yes we should leverage our personal and collective experiences.
So let us start any discussion about VFP against the current technologies (no denying those) by asking what is the point of argument, the database or the programming language I think we will be able to defend VFP better, just my 2 cents.
No intention of touching nerves here :)
