That's ludicrous.

I've used plenty of free apps that are just plain junk, full of bugs, don't have nearly the features of commercial apps, and are far harder to user, have no support, and no documentation. It goes both ways.

>Ludicrous. The community can do this FAR BETTER than Microsoft can. Apps that are not operating properly get low ratings, hence more people avoid them.

Not when you start multi-tasking.

>That's a weak reason. ARM is already powerful enough for most things.

Said like a true C++ developer. "I need to control everything". Maybe that was true years ago, but here's a good example. With today's processors and RAM sizes, why, as a developer, should I care about if have to choose an AnsiString or a byte array when working with a string. It's called an "optimizing compiler". It should do the work of optimizing, not me.

Frankly, I'm done with you are your far sided thinking on this. Twitted.

>Developers can figure out ways to prevent their own apps from bogging down the system too much. It's already being done on every other mobile platform. The developers release future versions which make threading smoother, or the UI better, or whatever.

>It should not be forced upon people by the OS. It should be them that controls the machine, not the machine that controls them. People are what's important.
