Do the words "Reinstall Windows" have a familiar ring to them? Seriously, a reinstall of Windows over the existing installation, followed by reapplying patches and service packs, is the cleanest solution.

That's pretty unusual, since most of the systems I work with have a variety of Adobe products installed (including this one), and we routinely install Acrobat Reader as a part of some of our applications. What Adobe product 9and what version) was being installed?
