>>>I think my first reply to you here was incorrect and I think I see your point. But that also speaks to why it is now more tempting to write apps using a browser UI. You can still make mods in the UI for phone, tablet etc where the browser might now be responsive enough, but it seems more a question of design and the stack you use than the IDE that you use for development.

>>I wouldn't say missing the point. You seldom do. What I meant was I think UI layers need to be separate code because the hardware devices are so different. Please understand I am all for common code wherever possible.

>I know what you mean about overused words, but that one seems the only way to describe a mish mash environment where datastore, orm, web service/api, transport technology, model/viewmodel etc , UI are all stuff with so many possibilities. Exciting but has my head spinning. Right now I am just trying to get the John Papa stuff making sense before I try to branch off into other variations

>Kermit the Kamarro ! :-)

I am too old for Kermit the frog ;-)

For some odd reason, though, I have a fairly old song running in endless loops.

My baby drove up in a brand new Cadillac
I said Jesus Christ where'd you get that Cadillac
She said listen to me baby I ain't never coming back

They were called "the only band that matters." I was fortunate enough to see them twice.and can't disagree. The first time was a little surreal. They played at the Tupperware corporate auditorium in Orlando, if you can believe that. Joe Strummer sported a white leisure suit and a mohawk. He was a diplomat's son who was pure punk.

And even though this is about Joe Strummer, not Tom Morello, here is a music clip I never get tired of.
