I tried your suggestions and the program would run in safe mode. We uninstalled Java and the program would run in normal mode as long as it was the first program started after booting up.

The end result is that something is running that is blocking FoxPro but we don't know what. The client was going to get someone to look at his computer.

I really appreciated the input from you and all the others who took the time to reply.
