Depends- is the grill in the yard or has somebody fired it up at the next table in a restaurant? Seems to me that people have different expectations re your own back yard vs a restaurant... though FWIW there are many places where it is illegal to light a BBQ or any sort of fire because of atmospheric pollution or fire risk.
