I know there are more atheist here now than ever before, but many won't admit it because when you do people get the wrong idea. I had a job in Texas a while back and when my boss found out I was agnostic/atheist he was actually convinced that I would not have a problem committing a murder because I surely had no values or morals because there was no fear of god.

The more the reason to keep religion in force for such people. He was judging you taking himself as an example, and he knows he would be killing people if he wasn't religious.
