Imagine describing a pickup truck to someone in history who's only known horses. They'd think you're a fool to describe such a contraption (hundreds of pounds of metal, gallons and gallons of refined fuel, new technologies required for all the intricate parts, etc.). But, once you gave them one and showed them how to use it, and the infrastructure was there ...
Microsoft has (and other big corporations have) harmed people to such an extent. And almost nobody realizes it because almost nobody knows how to design low-level systems from their head, with only a text editor and a C compiler, from the ground up. If more people knew this, we'd have a lot fewer Microsofts, Apples, Oracles, and even Googles out there. And we'd have a lot more feature rich software programs.
We're being taken for fools by these large coporations. And almost nobody realizes it.
The right education for the right reasons is key! It's eye-opening. I'd be happy to teach anybody who wants to learn.
