Hi Matt,

I get the concept of using a data layer to interpolate between the app and the db. That's a good idea. I see an added benefit in that the DB can be separate from the app.
My app uses Visual Maxframe Pro as framework, so most of my forms, including grids, use local views. Have you had any experience using VM Pro? The reason I ask, is that my approach in building my app over the years has been to have someone more knowledgeable than myself do the startup stuff, show me what has to be done, and then I take as much time as I need to finish. Saves lot of time. Sounds like you've already done this. Any interest?
