The PCs as well as iPad use the same router. In fact if I enter in the Safari on iPad address 192.168.0.1 I get the login screen to the router. But when I enter in iPad address I get message that the server cannot be found.

Can you use the IP of the webserver instead of the server name? Sounds like the iPad is not using your local DNS (if there is local DNS).
