Lot of truth in it. 2 points:
1) I personally am better at thinking (esp. complex structures) when not tied to desk or chair, but moving.
Not running or dancing, wlaking slowly without aim. Tested. Works *for me*. Is some form of multitasking which is beneficial for me ;-)
2) In programming it is dangerously easy to become overfixated or too close to the problem.
Switching tasks, not to "do more", but to get conscious thought pointed elsewhere often heps me by allowing subconscious to offer needed kick in the butt. Running or driving is even better - for me.
Coming from a guy often looking at his phone, and after seeing the number not always answering. Clever people then suppressing showing their number will find I will answer such calls even less. And cell phone is allowed often to recuperate by switching off...
